Alessio Lucatti — Italian keyboard player — remained in Vision Divine from 2006 to 2025, the second longest period in the band's history after founder Olaf Thörsen. His presence spans almost twenty years and four studio records, from The 25th Hour (2007) to Blood and Angels' Tears (2024), crossing Fabio Lione's return, his second departure, Ivan Giannini's spell and the various reformulations of the line-up. In a band with that rate of turnover, it was he — alongside Thörsen — who guaranteed sonic continuity between very distinct phases. His function goes beyond accompaniment. In Vision Divine the keyboard shares the front line with the guitar, harmonising in thirds, doubling riffs and taking solos on equal footing — an inheritance from the neoclassical metal the band never abandoned. On concept albums such as The 25th Hour, it also falls to the keyboard to sustain the atmospheric passages that link the tracks and give the record the shape of continuous narrative.
