Matt Peruzzi

Matt Peruzzi — Italian drummer — joined Vision Divine in 2022 and recorded Blood and Angels' Tears (2024). His entry comes in the line-up that closed the cycle with Ivan Giannini on vocals and preceded Fabio Lione's third return to the band. Blood and Angels' Tears is the group's ninth studio album and arrived five years after the previous one, at a moment when Vision Divine had already accumulated more than two decades of history and a long succession of line-up changes. As the most recent drummer of a band that changed occupant of that position at least six times, Peruzzi inherited a repertoire accumulated over nine records — power metal, progressive sections and neoclassical arrangements written by drummers of different styles across twenty-five years — which has to be performed on tour as though it were a single body.
