Andi Kravljaca

Andi Kravljaca — Swedish vocalist — was Seventh Wonder's first voice, singing on the debut album Become (2005). That is the record preceding the arrival of Tommy Karevik, the singer who would become internationally known and later take over Kamelot's vocals too. Become documents a band still taking shape: the progressive structures are already there, as is Andreas Blomqvist's melodic bass and the balance between complexity and song that would define the group. Singing progressive metal carries a particular demand. The vocal lines must work over structures in irregular metre while remaining melodically memorable — harder to write and to perform than it sounds, and precisely where many bands in the genre fail, producing music that is technically impressive and emotionally inert. Kravljaca went on working in other projects on the Swedish circuit. His contribution is on the first recording of a band that would become one of the most respected in Scandinavian progressive metal.
