Myles Kennedy

Myles Kennedy has built his career far from the usual hard rock frontman script. Before reaching global prominence, he went through the jazz fusion of Cosmic Dust, Citizen Swing and The Mayfield Four, where the melancholic phrasing and precision that would become his trademarks already appeared. In 2004, he took over vocals and guitar in Alter Bridge, a partnership with Mark Tremonti that produced a consistent sequence of albums, from One Day Remains to Alter Bridge, the group's eighth work, released in 2026. His playing combines range, control and a vulnerability rare in heavy rock. In songs like “Blackbird”, “Words Darker Than Their Wings” and “Cry of Achilles”, Kennedy avoids ornamental excess and uses technique in the service of the narrative. This versatility also supported his partnership with Slash, which began in 2010 and was consolidated in Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, with four studio albums and his own identity between blues, hard rock and great choruses. In his solo career, Kennedy revealed a more personal writing style. Year of the Tiger addressed the loss of his father and his family history; The Ides of March expanded the space for progressive guitars and structures; The Art of Letting Go, from 2024, brought this repertoire closer to full-band energy. Between Alter Bridge, Slash and his own albums, he has become one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary rock, without relying solely on the high notes that made his reputation.
