Humberto Sobrinho

Humberto Sobrinho — Brazilian vocalist — recorded Infallible (2009) with Hangar, the band's fourth studio album. Infallible arrived only two years after The Reason of Your Conviction (2007), a rare moment of regularity for a group that usually took long intervals between records. It is also the last work of the phase preceding the acoustic period and the reformulation of the line-up that followed. Taking over the vocalist's position in Hangar was always a particular task: the band has accumulated six different singers in almost three decades, and each had to sustain on tour a catalogue written for earlier timbres. Sobrinho took on that charge in a melodic power metal repertoire played at fast tempo, over Aquiles Priester's rhythmic base — a demand of stamina and pitch in a high register that few vocalists in the Brazilian circuit could meet.
