Ivan Giannini — Italian vocalist — was Vision Divine's voice between 2018 and 2024, the period in which the band recorded When All the Heroes Are Dead (2019) and Blood and Angels' Tears (2024). His situation carried a specific difficulty: taking the microphone of a band whose vocal identity was tied to Fabio Lione, who had already come and gone twice. Every singer who succeeds Lione is measured against him, and Giannini had to sustain not only the new repertoire but also the old catalogue on tour. His two records cover a phase of resumption: Vision Divine went seven years without releasing material between Destination Set to Nowhere (2012) and When All the Heroes Are Dead (2019), and it fell to him to present the band to an audience that might have taken it for finished. He left the group in 2024, when Lione returned for the third time.
