Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge is an American hard rock band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 2004, rising from the ashes of the multiplatinum band Creed. When Creed dissolved in 2003 amid internal conflict, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips regrouped and recruited singer-guitarist Myles Kennedy, formerly of The Mayfield Four, whose soaring vocal range and melodic songwriting proved a transformative addition. Their debut album, One Day Remains (2004), went gold and introduced fan favorites like "Open Your Eyes" and "Metalingus." Blackbird (2007) marked a creative leap, yielding the title track and "Watch Over You," widely regarded as a career highlight. AB III (2010) cemented their reputation, spawning "Isolation," their first number-one mainstream rock hit. Fortress (2013) continued that momentum, followed by The Last Hero (2016), their first album since the debut to crack the Billboard 200 top ten. Walk the Sky (2019) experimented with synth textures, while Pawns & Kings (2022) returned to a heavier, more progressive style reflecting on isolation during the pandemic era. Alongside Alter Bridge, Kennedy and Tremonti have maintained active solo careers, yet Alter Bridge remains their primary creative outlet. Now in their third decade together, Alter Bridge stands as one of modern hard rock's most consistent and respected acts, having sold several million records worldwide.
