Pedro Tinello

Pedro Tinello — Brazilian drummer — joined Almah in 2015, in the band's final line-up. He came in as Marcelo Moreira's replacement and recorded E.V.O. (2016), the group's last album. It is a short period, but at a specific moment: Almah was coming from guitarist Paulo Schroeber's death in 2014, and the line-up had to be rebuilt almost entirely before that record. The repertoire demands of the drums an approach far from traditional power metal. Almah worked with varied tempos, heavy sections in mid metre and structures less predictable than those of Angra, the band Edu Falaschi was identified with — which means articulating transitions rather than sustaining constant speed. E.V.O. closed Almah's discography; Falaschi went on to work under his own name, and the band did not record again. Tinello therefore belongs to the last chapter of a group that existed for ten years.
