William Schuck

William Schuck — Brazilian drummer — is part of the Hibria line-up presented in 2026. He takes over the drums of a band whose repertoire is not solved by constant speed. Hibria built its difference from Brazilian power metal of the 2000s precisely by rejecting continuous double kick as a formula: its tracks have changes of metre, irregular fills and riffs that abandon predictable structure — an approach inherited from 1980s American metal, in which the drums articulate transitions rather than merely hold a tempo. The catalogue he has to perform on tour includes Defying the Rules (2004) and The Skull Collectors (2008), records made by Sávio Sordi and his successors across almost thirty years, and which have to sound like the work of a single band. His entry is part of the most radical reformulation in the group's history — the first without vocalist Iuri Sanson — led by founding guitarist Abel Camargo.
