Cain's Offering is a Finnish power metal supergroup formed in 2008 by guitarist Jani Liimatainen and drummer Jani Hurula, both fresh off their departure from Sonata Arctica. The lineup included keyboardist Mikko Härkin, Stratovarius vocalist Timo Kotipelto, and bassist Jukka Koskinen. The band released its debut, Gather the Faithful, in 2009, well received by power metal fans. Six years later, with lineup changes bringing in Jens Johansson and Jonas Kuhlberg, the band released Stormcrow (2015), its second and to-date final studio album. Since 2016, Cain's Offering has been largely dormant, with members occupied by their main bands, though no official split has been announced.
