Alírio Netto

Alírio Netto has been Angra's singer since 2025, confirmed in the role less than a day after the announcement of Fabio Lione's departure. His debut with the band was set for Bangers Open Air in 2026. The choice was not a newcomer. Netto has more than two decades of career and spells in Khallice and Age of Artemis, besides having been Shaman's singer between 2019 and 2023 — which means that, before Angra, he already held the microphone of a band founded by Andre Matos. The distance between the two houses is shorter than it looks. His name, though, became known to international audiences by another route: Queen Extravaganza, the tribute project approved by Brian May and Roger Taylor, with which he performed in the United States, Canada, Europe and South America. That repertoire demands range, control and a specific kind of theatrical presence, and it was there that he built a reputation for singing other people's material with authority — an attribute that counts in a band whose catalogue was written for three previous singers. He has signed with the European label Frontiers and is preparing a record of his own with guest appearances, among them Arnel Pineda of Journey. He is the first Brazilian to front Angra since Edu Falaschi.
