Clémentine Delauney — French vocalist — is known as the voice of Visions of Atlantis and a member of Exit Eden, the project gathering symphonic metal singers around other people's repertoire. Exit Eden was born in 2017 with a simple, effective idea: take far-reaching pop songs and re-record them in symphonic metal arrangements, sung by four vocalists with distinct backgrounds. Rhapsodies in Black (2017) did that with material ranging from Madonna to Adele, and it worked because the performers treated the songs as serious repertoire, not as a joke. That kind of work exposes a singer in a particular way: the listener knows the original note for note, and any hesitation in the delivery shows at once. Delauney has a lyric tone and dynamic control that let her reinterpret without imitating. In 2024 Exit Eden returned as a trio with Femmes Fatales. In parallel, Delauney sustains Visions of Atlantis, the Austrian symphonic metal band she has fronted for over a decade.
