Thalìa Bellazecca has been Primal Fear's guitarist since August 2024, and is the first woman to be part of the band in almost three decades of its history. Born in 1996, of Italian and Cuban descent, she arrived as part of the largest reorganisation the group has ever made. Her reputation came from Frozen Crown, the Italian power metal band where she played for several years and developed a fast, clean style with melodic phrasing and exact articulation — precisely the profile Primal Fear's repertoire demands, built as it is on harmonised guitars at high tempos. She also passed through Angus McSix. Her arrival was not a simple replacement. In August 2024 the band announced the simultaneous departure of guitarists Alex Beyrodt and Tom Naumann and drummer Michael Ehré, and rebuilt the line-up around Ralf Scheepers, Mat Sinner and Magnus Karlsson, bringing in Bellazecca and drummer André Hilgers. It is an evident generational renewal: more than thirty years separate the band's founders from its new guitarist. She made her recording debut on Domination (2025), the band's fifteenth studio album.
