Diego Kasper

Diego Kasper — Brazilian guitarist — was part of Hibria's classic line-up between 1996 and 2012, forming with Abel Camargo the guitar pair that defined the band's sound. Hibria set itself apart from Brazilian power metal of the 2000s precisely through that architecture: two guitars working in harmony and counterpoint, with riffs of technical cut and alternating solos, closer to traditional heavy metal and 1980s American metal than to the symphonic format that prevailed in the country. Kasper was on the records that took the band to the international circuit — Defying the Rules (2004), The Skull Collectors (2008) and Blind Ride (2011) — works that earned tours in Europe and Japan for a group from Porto Alegre without major-label backing. That is sixteen years in the same role, a period in which Hibria's line-up remained practically intact — a rare condition in Brazilian metal and one of the reasons for the cohesion that marks those albums.
