Felipe Trein

Felipe Trein — Brazilian bassist — was part of Hangar's initial line-up, at the end of the 1990s. Hangar was assembled in 1997 by drummer Aquiles Priester, at the moment when Angra had just placed Brazil on the international power metal circuit and the country was producing bands willing to occupy that space with material of their own. Trein belongs to that beginning, prior to the first record. It is the kind of participation that rarely appears in official documentation — the phase of rehearsals, demos and first performances, when the band was still defining what it would be. Hangar's discography begins with Last Time (1999), already with another line-up, but the architecture the group would practise for almost three decades was put together in those earlier years.
