Frank Schieber — guitarist — was part of Tribuzy, the project of Brazilian vocalist Renato Tribuzy. The group is remembered for Execution (2005), a concept album recorded in Rio de Janeiro with international appearances by established heavy metal names. It was an unusual proposition for 2000s Brazil: instead of seeking a European label to distribute a power metal record along local lines, Tribuzy brought the international circuit inside the work itself. The repertoire is heavy metal of classic descent — the 1980s British line, with direct riffs, twin-guitar harmonies and solos built as melody. It is a style demanding less speed and more precision of phrasing than the power metal dominating the Brazilian scene. Tribuzy has a short discography, with the studio record and a live recording. But what it produced documents a rare ambition: to make, from Brazil, an album standing at the same production level as what was being done in Europe.
