Tribuzy

Tribuzy emerged in Rio de Janeiro as the materialisation of Renato Tribuzy's ambition: to make Brazilian heavy metal on an international scale, without any inferiority complex and without sparing ammunition. The album *Execution*, released in 2005, brought together names such as Bruce Dickinson, Michael Kiske, Ralf Scheepers, Mat Sinner, Kiko Loureiro, Roland Grapow and Roy Z. The cast was impressive, but the record did not survive on its guests alone. Tracks like "Web of Life", "Forgotten Time" and "Execution" revealed a solid foundation of traditional heavy metal, power metal and melodies built for big stages. In 2005, part of that constellation was taken to Brazilian stages, in performances that gathered musicians from some of the genre's biggest bands. The result was captured on *Execution: Live Reunion*, released in 2007, turning the project into something larger than an album surrounded by illustrious guest appearances. Tribuzy had created a rare meeting point between Brazilian metal and the international elite, with Renato holding the role of host, songwriter and vocalist without disappearing behind the guests. The short discography kept Tribuzy from building a career comparable to the scale of its debut, but it also preserved the aura. *Execution* remains the record of a moment when a Brazilian musician decided to ignore the market's usual limitations and assemble his own elite squad. Many projects promise to gather stars. Tribuzy actually put them all on the same stage — and still managed not to look like a mere tribute with a generous budget.
