Jacky Vincent — British guitarist — was Falling in Reverse's lead guitarist in the phase when the band established itself, and is one of the most technical players the American post-hardcore circuit produced. His playing comes from another school: phrasing of neoclassical vocabulary, fast arpeggios and solos built on the harmony, an inheritance from 1980s instrumental metal that almost no band of his generation used. Placing that inside Ronnie Radke's repertoire — which combines metalcore, rap and electronic pop in structures that change register without warning — produced a contrast that became part of the group's identity. He recorded The Drug in Me Is You (2011), released a few months after Radke left prison and which entered the American charts, as well as the following records up to the middle of the decade. He left Falling in Reverse in 2015 to pursue an instrumental career of his own, with guitar records exploring without concession the technical vocabulary the band could only accommodate in doses.
