Jordan Berger

Jordan Berger — American guitarist — was part of I Prevail in the initial line-up, in the period before the band's national recognition. I Prevail was born in Michigan in the early 2010s, and its first exposure came from a heavy version of a pop track that circulated widely on the internet — an unusual point of entry, and one the band used as a springboard to build a repertoire of its own. That phase precedes everything the group would be known for: the records that would enter the American charts, the Grammy nominations and the format of two vocalists — one clean, one guttural — sharing space on equal footing, which would become the band's trademark. Berger belongs to the beginning, the period when I Prevail was still assembling its formula: low-tuned guitars, wide choruses and vocal aggression, a combination the following decade would turn into one of the most listened-to formats in American heavy rock.
