Justin Morrow — American musician — is part of Ice Nine Kills in the line-up that consolidated the band's reach. His earlier path runs through the American metalcore and post-hardcore circuit, the scene from which several of the bands that filled charts and festivals in the 2010s emerged, and where musicians circulate frequently between groups. In Ice Nine Kills he is part of the foundation supporting a repertoire of unusual demand. The band's tracks change character several times within the same piece — heavy riff, melodic chorus, orchestral sections and theatrical passages recreating the atmosphere of the horror film each song adapts. Keeping rhythmic and harmonic continuity across those transitions is what prevents the concept from falling apart into collage. He was on the records that took the group into the American charts: The Silver Scream (2018) and its 2021 sequel, as well as the tours on which the band stages each track with sets and costumes — a format demanding that the line-up perform the material with precision while taking part in a theatrical presentation.
