Velles — Brazilian guitarist — is part of the Hibria line-up presented in 2026. He joins a band with eight albums and almost three decades of history, whose sonic identity depends directly on the role he takes. Hibria was built on an architecture of two guitars working in harmony and counterpoint, with riffs of technical cut and changes of metre — a format inherited from traditional heavy metal and 1980s American metal, not from the symphonic power metal that prevailed in Brazil when the group appeared. The role carries a double demand: beyond the new material, one has to perform on tour a catalogue including Defying the Rules (2004) and The Skull Collectors (2008), records that took the band to Europe and Japan and whose guitar arrangements are the reference by which Hibria is recognised. His entry is part of the most radical reformulation in the group's history, the first without vocalist Iuri Sanson, led by founder Abel Camargo.
