Diogo Mafra — Brazilian guitarist — has been part of Almah since 2014 and is also guitarist in Edu Falaschi's solo band. His entry into Almah came in difficult circumstances: he replaced Paulo Schroeber, guitarist of the classic line-up, who died that same year at 41 after years of treatment for a rare disease. Taking that post meant performing on tour a repertoire written by a musician whose loss was recent and felt across the Brazilian scene. He recorded E.V.O. (2016), Almah's last album, and continued with Falaschi in the project the latter assembled under his own name — taking part in Moonlight (2016), Vera Cruz (2021), Eldorado (2023) and Mi'raj (2026), besides the live recording Temple of Shadows in Concert (2021), on which the band performs in full the most celebrated record of Falaschi's time in Angra. That continuity makes him the reference guitarist of Falaschi's repertoire over the past decade — both the new material and the Angra catalogue the band plays live.
