Edu Falaschi

Edu Falaschi (born Eduardo Teixeira da Fonseca Vasconcellos, 18 May 1972, São Paulo) is one of Brazil's most recognizable heavy metal vocalists and songwriters, with a career spanning more than three decades. After early work with Mitrium and Symbols, he rose to international prominence in 2001 when he replaced Andre Matos as lead singer of Angra, recording four studio albums with the band — Rebirth (2001), Temple of Shadows (2004), Aurora Consurgens (2006) and Aqua (2010). In 2006 he founded Almah, releasing five albums between 2007 and 2016. He left Angra in 2012. The transition to a career under his own name began with Moonlight (2016), an acoustic album marking 25 years as a professional musician. In 2019 he retired the Almah name entirely, symbolically launched by a São Paulo concert celebrating Temple of Shadows' 15th anniversary with the Bachiana Filarmônica orchestra, later released as Temple of Shadows in Concert. His first album of entirely new material was Vera Cruz (2021), followed by Eldorado (2023) and Mi'raj (2026), completing a historical concept trilogy. He tours extensively in Brazil, Europe, Latin America and Japan.
