Raphael Dafras — Brazilian bassist — has been part of Almah since 2012 and is also bassist in Edu Falaschi's solo band. He joined Almah in the phase when the group had already stopped being a solo project and worked as an established band, with a repertoire of its own heavier and less epic than Angra's power metal. He recorded Unfold (2013) and E.V.O. (2016), Almah's last album. Since then he has accompanied Falaschi in his career under his own name, taking part in Vera Cruz (2021), Eldorado (2023) and Mi'raj (2026), besides the live recording Temple of Shadows in Concert (2021), on which the band performs in full the most celebrated record of Falaschi's time in Angra. That continuity has a specific function. The repertoire the band plays live combines new material with the Angra catalogue of the 2000s — two distinct bass vocabularies, one more direct and the other inherited from symphonic power metal arrangements with fast passages in unison with the guitar. Dafras is the one who sustains both in the same show.
