Edu Falaschi built his career between power metal, progressive and the melodic tradition of Brazilian heavy metal. After working with Mitrium and Symbols, he took over the vocals for Angra in 2000, participating in the reconstruction recorded in Rebirth. During twelve years, he also recorded the EP Hunters and Prey and the albums Temple of Shadows, Aurora Consurgens and Aqua. His voice marked songs such as “Nova Era”, “Heroes of Sand” and “Spread Your Fire”, while his performance as a composer gained space in one of the band's most productive phases. In 2006, he created Almah to expand his autonomy as a composer, arranger and producer. The project became a full band with Fragile Equality and followed heavier paths with Motion, Unfold and E.V.O., incorporating elements of thrash, progressive metal and modern sounds. After leaving Angra in 2012, Falaschi focused his activity on the group, transforming Almah into the main laboratory for a more authorial phase that was less dependent on the conventions of power metal. His solo career recovered the epic and symphonic aspect with Vera Cruz (2021), Eldorado (2023) and Mi’raj (2026), a conceptual trilogy set between colonial Brazil, Spanish America and the Middle East of the 16th century. With their own production, great orchestrations and Brazilian and Eastern references, the albums consolidated a phase of artistic and vocal recovery. Edu Falaschi's trajectory is defined less by his stay in a single band than by his ability to rebuild his own work after each rupture.
