Asking Alexandria formed in York, England, in 2008, built around guitarist Ben Bruce and vocalist Danny Worsnop, alongside drummer James Cassells and guitarist Cameron Liddell. Bassist Sam Bettley joined in 2009, shortly before the successful debut album Stand Up and Scream. With records such as Reckless & Relentless (2011) and From Death to Destiny (2013), the band became a reference point in the post-hardcore/metalcore scene, combining screamed and clean vocals with electronic and hard rock elements. In January 2015 Worsnop left to focus on his project We Are Harlot and was replaced by Ukrainian singer Denis Stoff, who fronted the self-produced album The Black (2016). Stoff left the band later that year, and Worsnop returned in October 2016, recording the acclaimed self-titled Asking Alexandria (2017), which leaned further into hard rock and pop-metal. The band kept evolving on Like a House on Fire (2020) and See What's on the Inside (2021), embracing a more melodic sound closer to alternative rock. Longtime guitarist Ben Bruce left in 2024. With the album Where Do We Go from Here? (2023), Asking Alexandria remain active in touring and recording, with a consolidated global fan base.
