Bring Me the Horizon

Bring Me the Horizon formed in Sheffield, England, in 2004, initially as a deathcore act. The debut album Count Your Blessings (2006) delivered brutal, blast-beat-laden deathcore, but the band soon began pulling away from that scene. Suicide Season (2008) moved toward a more melodic metalcore, while There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret. (2010) introduced electronic and orchestral textures. The arrival of keyboardist/programmer Jordan Fish in 2013 was decisive: Sempiternal (2013) fused metalcore with electronic atmosphere and pop sensibility, and That's the Spirit (2015) pushed further into alternative and electronic rock, all but abandoning traditional metalcore and giving the band its first UK number one album. Amo (2019) expanded into pop, trap and experimental territory, dividing opinion while broadening the audience. After Fish's 2023 departure, the band returned to heavier material with the Post Human series, culminating in Post Human: NeX GEn (2024), which blends nu metal, industrial and electronics. Led by Oliver Sykes alongside longtime members Lee Malia and Matt Kean, Bring Me the Horizon have sold more than five million records and are among the most influential acts in contemporary British rock and metal.
