Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band formed in 1990 in the small city of Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul, by three brothers: vocalist/bassist Alex Camargo, guitarist Moyses Kolesne, and drummer Max Kolesne. That original trio has remained unchanged for more than three decades — an almost unheard-of feat in extreme metal. Raised on early Sodom, Kreator, Slayer and Morbid Angel, the brothers built a sound of unrelenting velocity. After relocating to São Paulo they issued Black Force Domain (1995) and Apocalyptic Revelation (1998). Signing with Century Media in 1999 turned them into one of Brazil's most successful extreme metal exports — arguably the country's most important death metal act after Sepultura. Conquerors of Armageddon (2000) became their defining statement and remains a genre benchmark. Southern Storm (2008) added Brazilian percussion, while The Great Execution (2011) broadened the palette. Mortem Solis (2022), their eleventh studio album, was widely praised. In 2025 they toured North America performing Conquerors of Armageddon in full for its twenty-fifth anniversary.
